In an unexpected burst of efficiency, both the carpenters and decorators finished their jobs in record time! I think being pregnant really helped – they both seemed to feel bad at turning the house into a tip, and so worked faster than normal for me 🙂

The decorators worked for 10 hours on Saturday to finish the nursery and downstairs bedroom – and as soon as they put up the Mamas and Papas freeze, and we added the lampshade and curtains, we suddenly had a baby room. Here are some snaps of it finished before we filled it with clutter!

And then this morning, we started filling up the space with all the baby things we’ve bought over the past few weeks – that cupboard is going to come in really handy! The cot, drawers and a comfy chair arrive on Thursday – and then we’ll be pretty much organised. Good timing – Baby Bob’s due to arrive a month today!
